Natives Cancel February UK Tour

Thursday, 15 January 2015 Written by Jon Stickler

Natives have cancelled their February headline tour due to delays recording their new album.

The pop-rock five-piece had originally planned to hit the road between February 16 and 20 with shows booked in Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, London and Bristol.

The band issued a statement to their Facebook page:

"We are sorry to announce the cancellation of our February headline tour. Originally we booked these shows to introduce you to our new album and kick off the next chapter for the band however recording is taking longer than we originally estimated. We want to take our time and get everything absolutely perfect and unfortunately that means we simply won’t be ready to play the songs next month. We discussed this at length and decided that it wasn’t fair for you guys to spend your time and money watching us play the exact same set from previous tours. We never want our fans to feel ripped off and in this situation we decided it was fairer to cancel the shows and have the tickets refunded.

"We hate cancelling shows and we didn’t take this decision lightly but we feel that when you guys pay money to watch us perform live you deserve nothing less than the absolute best show we can deliver and this simply would not be possible were we to keep the original dates.

"We’re working on a small gift for all of you who bought tickets and they’ll be news on that soon. In the meantime please contact your ticket vendor for a full refund.

"We can't wait to show you what we've been working on for the past few months.

Natives released 'The Horizon' EP in October, the follow up to their debut full length, 'Indoor War', which arrived back in March last year.
