Whitesnake have announced details of their 12th studio record, 'The Purple Album'.

Set for release in Europe on May 15 and North American on May 19, the rock giants' first new studio album in four years is a re-imagination of songs from frontman David Coverdale’s time as the lead singer for Deep Purple.

'The Purple Album' tracklist:

1. Burn
2. You Fool No One
3. Love Child
4. Sail Away
5. The Gypsy
6. Lady Double Dealer
7. Mistreated
8. Holy Man
9. Might Just Take Your Life
10. You Keep on Moving
11. Soldier of Fortune
12. Lay Down Stay Down
13. Stormbringer

The current Whitesnake lineup, featuring Coverdale on vocals, Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra on guitars, Michael Devin on bass and Tommy Aldridge on drums, have just unveiled a video for the record's lead single, Stormbringer.

The band will embark on The Purple tour across North America in late May, with further tour dates including the UK, Europe and the rest of the world coming soon.
