Bjork Returns With Lionsong Video

Thursday, 12 March 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Bjork has unveiled Lionsong, her first official video in three years.

The track is taken from the Icelandic artist's most recent album 'Vulnicura’, which was released two months ahead of schedule on February 21.

The video was directed by creative duo Inez & Vinoodh and effects were created by production house Framestore. Discussing the collaboration on the video, Framestore’s Matt Pascuzzi said:

“Inez & Vinoodh had some fantastic ideas about what they wanted and supplied some beautiful initial reference, that had a painterly style not dissimilar to traditional religious iconography, of characters covered in starlight. That, along with their existing album artwork, gave us some pretty beautiful reference to work from and I am immensely proud of our New York compositing and 3D teams who, in every sense, did this job for the art.”

Check out the Lionsong video below, which premiered today through Noisey.
