Bjork is an Icelandic singer-songwriter, musician and actress from Reykjavík, now living in New York, USA.
Starting her music career in 1987, as a member of The Sugarcubes, the band released three albums, before they disbanded in 1992. Aside from a self-titled album she released as a child, her debut solo album, ‘Debut’ came out in 1993, hit #3 in the UK Albums Chart and featured the singles Human Behaviour and Big Time Sensuality. It was followed by ‘Post’ in 1995, which reached #2 in the UK chart and #32 in the Billboard Hot 200. It featured the singles Army of Me and It's Oh So Quiet. ‘Homogenic’ was released in 1997 and peaked at #4 in the UK chart and #28 in the USA. ‘Vespertine’ was released in 2001, with ‘Medúlla’ following in 2004, ‘Volta’ in 2007 and ‘Biophilia’ in 2011. She released her latest album, ‘Vulnicura’ in 2015. Having sold over 15 million records by 2003, Bjork has garnered a high level of acclaim winning four BRIT Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards and 13 Grammy Awards.
