The Libertines have cancelled their London and Manchester shows.
The band took to their social media accounts last night to announce the last-minute news, which they say is due to unforeseen circumstances. The London show at the Electric Ballroom was scheduled for last night and the Manchester show was due to take place tonight. Check out the band's full statement below.
The quartet's new album, 'Anthems For Doomed Youth', will be released today, following delays.
UPDATE: The Libertines posted the below statement on their Facebook page at 11.21am.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the day is finally upon us... Thanks for all your comments and support for the new record already flooding in. If your copy hasn't arrived yet, it should land on your doorstep aaany moment. We can assure everyone that Peter is safe. Clearly this is a very private matter in many respects, but we also feel it necessary to let people know he is ok. x x"
