Justin Vernon, Ben Gibbard, Tegan and Sara Among Contributors To Silver Lake Chorus Album

Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Sia and Tegan and Sara are among the artists to have contributed songs to the debut album by the Silver Lake Chorus.
The LA choir worked with producer Ben Lee on the record, which is expected on May 27 through Six Degrees, while the credits also include songs from Wayne Coyne, Aimee Mann, AC Newman of the New Pornographers, the Bird and the Bee and the Long Winters’ John Roderick.
“Most people would think they can’t approach Beck or Tegan and Sara, but as a songwriter, it’s such an honour to have your song sung by someone else, especially 20 people with great voices,” Lee said. “So I just started putting it out there.”
