Members Of Mastodon, At The Drive In, QOTSA Reveal New Band Gone Is Gone

Thursday, 14 April 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Members of Mastodon, At The Drive In and Queens Of The Stone Age have formed a new band, Gone Is Gone.

The line up consists of ATDI's Tony Hajjar, Troy Sanders from Mastodon, QOTSA guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen and guitarist-keyboardist Mike Zarin. Discussing the project with Rolling Stone, Sanders said:

"The vibe from day one was, and has been, very therapeutic and refreshing for me. The chemistry was immediate. I can only dedicate myself to something that rewards me purely, and we are all in this for the right reasons."

The band also told Rolling Stone that they plan to release an EP this summer via their own label in partnership with Rise Records/BMG and, eventually, an album. Check out a preview of the first single, Violescent, below.

Gone Is Gone will make their live debut at the Dragonfly in Los Angeles on April 27.  Tickets go on sale at 10.00am local time on April 15, priced at $35.00, plus fees.

Gone Is Gone Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Wed April 27 2016 - LOS ANGELES California - Dragonfly (USA)
