Organisers Confirm Forgotten Fields Cancellation

Tuesday, 17 May 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

This year's Forgotten Fields has been cancelled and it is unclear if it will return next year.

Organisers of the event, which this year was due to play host to Suede, Kodaline and Dizzee Rascal, among others, broke the news on its Facebook page.

Ticket holders will get an automatic refund unless they apply to swap their ticket to attend Standon Calling. Check out the official statement below and head here for refund information.

Dear festival goers,

We are hugely saddened to let you know that Forgotten Fields 2016 is no longer going ahead.

It’s with heavy hearts that we let you know news of this cancellation and would like to thank you for your support of the event.

Due to the rising costs of producing a quality event of this size, we are unable to produce a show that is of the standard both our team and customers would be proud of.

After thorough consideration of the event and exhausting all options we have sadly reached this conclusion. It was an exceptionally difficult decision to make and hasn’t been taken lightly.

We had a truly amazing time and weekend to remember in 2015, lifelong memories shared with lovely people in the fields, and we wish all the festival goers and team well for the coming festival season.

Yours regretfully,

The Forgotten Fields Team
