ZZ Top will team up with Gov't Mule for a short US trek this September.
The Texas blues-rock trio will hit eight cities, kicking off on September 9 in Wantagh, New York, including stops in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Illnois and Missouri, winding up on September 20 in Kansas City. Speaking about the trek, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons said:
"ZZ Top and the Mule are cut from the same dyed-in-the blues cloth. I've long admired the band and Warren Haynes' guitar work. He has a certain grit to everything he does. We're gonna have a fine time."
ZZ Top released their latest album, 'La Futura', in 2012, while Gov't Mule are set to unveil 'The Tel-Star Sessions', consisting of previously unreleased demos recorded in the early '90s at Tel-Star Studios in Florida by the band's original line-up, on August 5.
Tickets for the tour are on sale from 10am on May 20.
