Death Spells Announce July Release For Debut Album, Share New Track Why Is Love So Disastrous?

Death Spells - Frank Iero and James Dewees - will release their debut album, 'Nothing Above, Nothing Below', next month.
The LP, which includes material recorded between 2012 and 2016, is due out on July 29 on Vagrant Records. Check out Why Is Love So Disastrous?, which was premiered by Daniel P Carter on his BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, here. Skip to the 46 minutes, 50 seconds mark.
Discussing the Death Spells record, Dewees said:
“DEATH SPELLS is very different from anything we have done in the past collectively. It's noisy, it's angry, it's beauty, it's the monster you don't want to look at yet can't look away.”
Iero added:
"This DEATH SPELLS record has been something I've wanted for 4 years. The initial band started back in 2012 in an apartment in North Hollywood California, and because life sometimes gets in the way it has taken a back seat to other projects James and I have been working on. But I knew I could not go any further until these songs were revealed, and now death spells' time has finally come.”
Death Spells have lined up shows at Glasgow's Broadcast, the O2 Academy 2 Islington in London, Birmingham's O2 Academy 3 and Academy 3 in Manchester between August 9 and 12. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £17.50 (£20.00 for London), plus fees.
