Ezra Furman Shares New Track The Refugee Ahead Of Release Of New EP

Ezra Furman has shared a new track, well, sort of.
The Refugee is the closing song on his new EP, 'Big Fugitive Life', which is set to arrive on Friday via Bella Union and follow up last year's 'Perpetual Motion People'. In a statement about the record, Furman said:
“'Big Fugitive Life' is a group of our favourite orphaned songs that have banded together to form a unit. They are focused on the theme of the mind unmoored--those of us who have been left to drift unsupervised through the modern world. Four of these tracks were originally intended for inclusion on 'Perpetual Motion People'. Two of them were for 'The Year of No Returning'. But they weren't ready until now.
We dedicate this record to refugees of all kinds, all over the world. May all the wanderers find the homes they seek, and and may those with power welcome them as fellow citizens of humanity.”
Furman will play headline shows in August and October, in addition to making a number of UK festival appearances, including Green Man, Reading & Leeds, End Of The Road and Ireland's Electric Picnic. Tickets are on sale now.
