Public Service Broadcasting Confirm November London Fundraiser

Thursday, 18 August 2016 Written by Jon Stickler

Public Service Broadcasting will play a fundraising concert at London's Islington Assembly Hall on November 23.

The band will be joined by special guests to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK, a charity that the band are particularly keen to raise funds and publicity for after personal involvement with the disease. Guitarist and songwriter J. Willgoose, Esq. explains:

"In late September last year my wife, Sarah, was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer at the age of 33, totally out of the blue. She has now completed her treatment and we’re hopeful for the best possible outcome, so as a band we really wanted to try to do something positive to help promote the great work Bowel Cancer UK do for patients and their families."

Tickets for the show are on sale from publicservicebroadcasting.net at 10am on August 26, with all profits going to Bowel Cancer UK. The band have also set up a Justgiving page for donations, here.

Prior to the London date, the band will also open Manchester Science Festival with a show at the city's Albert Hall on October 20, performing their album, ‘The Race For Space’, in full for the very first time, accompanied by a brass section from the Royal Northern College of Music, including a string quintet and a 13-piece choir. Tickets are on sale at 10am on August 19, priced at £27.50.
