I Like Trains Share First New Track In Four Years A Divorce Before Marriage

Thursday, 29 September 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

I Like Trains have shared their first new track in four years, A Divorce Before Marriage.

The song shares its title with a new documentary about the band, for which they wrote an entire soundtrack. Discussing it, guitarist David Martin said:

“This was an interesting project for us to work on. The film makers approached us with the idea of writing a soundtrack for the film, and it seemed like we were probably in the best position to do so! We discussed what sort of thing they were after and went away to demo a few ideas. Working in atmospheres and not editing ourselves so strictly was certainly a liberating experience. Budgets and deadlines dictated we needed to pull this together very quickly. It kick started a period of productivity for the band which will certainly feed into the next album”.

For details of film screenings head here. Meanwhile, you can catch the band at Leeds' High & Lonesome festival on November 19. Tickets are on sale now.
