Howie Payne, formerly of the Stands, has announced a headline tour.
Payne will be accompanied by his live outfit, the Band of The Sun, for shows in Cardiff, Leicester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle, York, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and London, where he'll play the Borderline, between May 4 and 18. Tickets are on sale now.
The shows will feature songs by the Stands, songs from his recently re-released 2009 debut solo album ‘Bright Light Ballads’, plus new songs from his forthcoming second solo album, due later this year.
Payne has also announced the June 23 release of a Stands vinyl boxset entitled 'The Stands Recordings 2003-2005', a collection of rarities, b-sides and demos across three coloured vinyl LPs. Stream a new version of the rare early Stands track She Speaks of These Things below.
