Howie Payne is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist from Liverpool, best known as a member of The Stands.
Starting his music career in 1992, after forming The Magic Clock, he later fronted The Windmills, Telefone, Blueseed and The Big Kids. In 2002 he formed The Stands, who released their debut album, ‘All Years Leaving’, in 2004, followed by ‘Horse Fabulous’, in 2005, before they disbanded. He released his debut solo album, ‘Bright Light Ballads’, in 2009. He released his second album, ‘High Times, Home Recordings’, in February 2017.
