Elaine Paige has announced a series of UK concerts starting in October.
The vocalist will perform songs from her career alongside tracks by contemporary songwriters in Shrewsbury, Cardiff, Darford, Torquat, Inverness, Perth, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Llandudno, Aberystwyth, Milton Keynes, Gateshead, Margate and St. Albans. Speaking about the dates, Paige said:
"I’m so excited about taking this concert to more venues across the UK, we had such a great time last year. It allows me to do something completely different, a brand new show celebrating songwriters I love such as Harry Nilsson, Randy Newman, Jim Webb, Burt Bacharach, Lennon and McCartney, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber… the list goes on… as well as many of my hits. This music has been the soundtrack to all our lives, not just mine. And it’s the ideal opportunity to perform in an intimate way."
