Fake Laugh Announces Self-Titled Debut Album, Shares Lyric Video For Opening Track Melt

Monday, 15 May 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Fake Laugh, aka Kamran Khan, will release his debut album this summer.

The self-titled LP is due out on July 28 via Headcount Records. Check out the artwork above and a lyric video for the opening track, Melt, along with the tracklist, below.

Discussing the record, Khan said:

“I wanted to make a point of writing more traditional and direct songs. I wanted to make sure that every part I wrote for each instrument was as melodious as possible. That sort of super satisfying feeling you can get from music sometimes is the aim for to me. The challenge is being able to hit that spot.”

'Fake Laugh':

1. Melt
2. Short of Breath
3. Kinda Girl
5. As I Get To Know You Better
5. Hiding Place
6. Freely
7. You Will Find Out
8. Wouldn’t Bother
9. Physical (feat Soph Nathan)
10. You Do Know
11. Time to Die

Fake Laugh will play free shows at Sticky Mike's Frog Bar and The Joker in Brighton on May 19 and 20 respectively. He has also lined up stops at Nottingham Rough Trade on July 31 and London's Rough Trade East on August 1.
