Cradle Of Filth Plot Autumn Tour, Announce New Album 'Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay'

Friday, 16 June 2017 Written by Jon Stickler

Cradle of Filth have confirmed autumn dates in the UK and Ireland and details of their new album 'Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay'.

With their 12th full length and follow up to 2015's 'Hammer of the Witches' out on September 22 through Nuclear Blast, the extreme metallers will make stops in Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Oxford, Southampton, Norwich, London and Bristol between October 30 and November 11.

The band have also shared the record's artwork with the first single set to arrive on July 5, the same day that the album pre-order will become available. Dani Filth said:

"The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. 'Cryptoriana' implies the Victorian's infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle 'The Seductiveness Of Decay' further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation."

Further album details will be released in the coming months, while tickets for the tour are on sale at 10am on June 19. The band also play a one off festival warm up show in Portsmouth later this month.
