Holding Absence have shared the video for their new single, Penance.
The cinematic clip follows the rising post-hardcore band's debut appearance at Download festival last weekend. Vocalist Lucas Woodland said:
"Penance is very much just an overview of happiness, sadness, life and death. A lot of the lyrics I had produced over the space of months in my own time, and I just felt like this song did a great job of collecting my thoughts. We wanted to make sure the video did the lyrics justice, so we made sure to include quite a lot of open-ended metaphors so that the viewer could really take their own spin on it."
The band, who signed to Nuclear Blast imprint label Sharptone Records earlier this year, perform around the country this summer and provide main support to Young Guns on their September tour.
