Sundara Karma have unveiled a video for their new single, Explore.
The song is one of three new tracks, the others being Lakhey and Another Word For Beautiful, which are set to feature on a revised version of their debut LP, 'Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect', which is due out on July 7 through Chess Club/RCA.
Speaking about the video, director Dan Brereton said:
“Oscar mentioned wanting to do something based around a funeral, and i thought about how i could do it in a personal way, by having people and the band do things that are not expected of the occasion. I liked the idea of a funeral where people kiss, act nonplussed, bring their lizard and take selfies. We shot it in a great overgrown cemetery in the middle of london, with delusions of pere lachaise, and inspirations like Harold and Maude and Gates of Heaven.”
The band have lined up a number of festival appearances this summer, including Glastonbury, Barn On The Farm, Blissfields, Truck, Y Not?, Victorious, TRNSMT and Reading and Leeds. Following this they will hit the road again this autumn for their largest headline UK tour to date.
