The Dears Reveal New Track I'm Sorry That I Wished You Dead

Tuesday, 20 June 2017 Written by Jennifer Geddes

The Dears have revealed their latest track, I’m Sorry That I Wished You Dead.

The song is taken from their new album, 'Times Infinity Volume Two', which is due out on July 14. Speaking about the track, frontman Murray Lightburn said:

"I’m Sorry That I Wished You Dead’ is one of our more funny yet brutally honest songs. People get extreme feelings sometimes and need to get them out somehow. This is one of those times.

Rather than have the production reflect that, we took a slightly Velvet Underground approach on this one; the rumbly Moe Tucker drums and droney jangly guitars. There's the refined element of restrained strings that's really carrying a lot of the weight.”

The band are set to tour across the UK and Ireland in October.
