Orbital Release Free Track Copenhagen

Friday, 21 July 2017 Written by Jon Stickler

Orbital have released a new track, Copenhagen.

The new recording features a vocal sample from Lisa Knapp and marks the reunited dance duo's first release since 2012's ‘Wonky'. Phil Hartnoll said:

"I’ve been enjoying playing and developing this track playing it out. We thought it would make a great little reunion present to our fans."

His brother Paul added:

"It just felt like the right track to try out and we are now ready to release it as a taste of things to come. It felt like an emotional opening with a hopeful feel to start this new chapter of Orbital in these strange and uncertain times. Let's all just chill the fuck out and enjoy the summer!"

Orbital have been recording during breaks in their live schedule at their own studio in Brighton and are expected to release a new album by the end of the year or early 2018.

The duo will play dates in Manchester and London this winter, following headline performances at Standon Calling and Beyond the Tracks festival.

Orbital Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri September 15 2017 - BIRMINGHAM Eastside City Park

Orbital - Wonky (Album Review)
Fri 04 May 2012
Orbital are a British electronic dance music duo consisting of rave brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. Most known for their album, ‘The Middle of Nowhere’, released in 1999, which reached Number Four in the UK album chart. Orbital were around at the beginning of the acid house scene in the early 90’s, they helped to create the shape of electronic music to come in the next 20 years, however they have been disastrously left behind.
