Bananarama, Boy George And Erasure Among Acts Announced For BBC Children In Need Rocks The 80s

Bananarama, Boy George and Erasure are among the acts announced for BBC Children in Need Rocks The 80s, an event to celebrate the decade in which the first major appeal took place.
Also set to appear at the SSE Arena Wembley on October 19 are Europe, Imagination, Jason Donovan, Katrina of Katrina & the Waves, Louisa Johnson, Nick Heyward, OMD and UB40 Featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey, with Fearne Cotton and Sara Cox confirmed as hosts.
Speaking about the event, Cox said:
“I am so excited to be hosting BBC Children in Need Rocks the 80s! It’s no secret that I am in love with the sounds of the decade and I can’t wait to hear some of the era’s greatest hits performed live at Wembley for a very worthy cause. Get your tickets now!”
Tickets go on sale at 8.30am today, with prices starting from £25.00, plus fees. All proceeds, after costs, will benefit BBC Children in Need.
