Kicks In is the opening track of the Scottish singer-songwriter's forthcoming debut album, which was produced by Ethan Johns and is set for release on Country Punk Records/BMG in early 2018.
Speaking about the song, he said:
“Kicks in is a song about wasting time on an island when you’re young, breaking windows and lighting fires, wondering when real life will start and what happens on the other side of the water.”
