Pussy Riot have announced a run of Riot Days shows.
The tour will bring the Russian punk group to Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Cardiff and Exeter between August 20 and 24, following up their run at the Edinburgh Fringe. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £16.00/£16.50 plus fees.
Last year, band member and activist Maria Alyokhina released her memoir, Riot Days, which revisits the events leading up to her 2012 incarceration for "hooliganism motivated by religious hatred". Together with a host of collaborators, she’s transformed the book into a piece of performance art combining music, protest and documentary footage.
