The Charlatans, Everything Everything Among Acts Confirmed For Festival No.6's Town Hall Sessions

Friday, 11 May 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

The acts have been announced for Festival No.6's Town Hall Sessions, which sees artists and composer-in-residence Joe Duddell give their tracks an orchestral makeover.

Set to appear at the Jacobean Town Hall are Tim Burgess and Mark Collins of the Charlatans, Everything Everything, Haelos, Shadow Party, and Fenne Lily.

In a statement, Duddell said:

“My residency at Festival No. 6 is always a creative highlight of the year. Festival No.6’s commitment to original programming is so refreshing; the sheer quantity of sets we’ve performed - 22 original works since the festival started - and the creativity they encourage.

I not only get to choose the artists I collaborate with, we are free to do whatever we want. Add to that the unique performance environment, Portmeirion Town Hall, with its stunning architecture and intense audience connection and you’ve got a one-off experience. It’s magical – people don’t watch through their phones, they choose to be in the moment with us.”

Friendly Fires, THE THE and Franz Ferdinand will headline the festival, while also set to appear are Django Django, Ride, Anna Calvi, the Horrors, A Certain Ratio, Gaz Coombes, Go Go Penguin, Alexis Taylor, Paul Draper, Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker, Hak Baker, Amen Dunes, Hollie Cook, Genghar, Haelos, Gwenno, The Lovely Eggs, Warm Digits, Raf Rundell, Amber Arcades and Tom Williams, plus loads more. Head here for the full line up to date.

Festival No.6 will again take over the village of Portmeirion in North Wales from September 6 to 9. Tickets are on sale now.
