You Me At Six Add Belfast and Dublin Dates To 'Take Off Your Colours' 10th Anniversary Tour

Thursday, 02 August 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

You Me At Six have added Belfast and Dublin dates to their 'Take Off Your Colours' anniversary tour.

The band will play the album, which this year turns 10, in its entirety at Dublin's Academy and the Limelight in Belfast on November 18 and 19 respectively. Due to demand, they also recently added more anniversary dates to their schedule, a further stop at the O2 Academy Brixton on December 3 among them, along with new shows in Leeds, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Sheffield, Norwich and Nottingham.

Tickets for all new dates go on sale at 9am on August 3. Meanwhile, head below to check out the new video for 3AM, a track from their forthcoming LP, 'VI'. The follow up to last year's 'Night People' is due out on October 5. They will support the new record with regular shows mixed in with anniversary dates later in the year.

With a new LP on the way we thought it seemed like a good time to take a look back at how the band have evolved over the years. Head here for 'Fresh Start Fever: The Evolution Of You Me At Six'.

While Paul Simon may not be as prolific as Bob Dylan (38 solo albums) or Van Morrison (39), he might beat both artists in terms of consistent quality. Records like ‘Rhythm of the Saints’, released in 1990, and 2016’ s ‘Surprise’ often matched the brilliance of his work with Art Garfunkel, but may have been overlooked due to ageism within pop music.

Photo: Shelly Mosman It’s not often that an album comes along and bowls you over into a state of sheer stupefaction. The Minnesota trio Low have always dabbled in minimalist experimentation, but their 12th full-length offering, ‘Double Negative’, cranks things up a notch. With Bon Iver producer B.J. Burton once again on hand, they manage to accomplish a giant leap forward without ever losing sight of who they are.
