Steve Hackett Announces 45th Anniversary Celebrations for 'Selling England By The Pound'

Steve Hackett has announced 2019 dates celebrating 45 years of the Genesis album ‘Selling England By The Pound’.
The prog giants’ former guitarist will play the 1973 LP in full during a European tour currently spanning 17 countries, with UK shows planned in Aylesbury, Folkestone, Sheffield, Cambridge, Leicester, Cardiff, Liverpool, Brighton, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Reading, Birmingham, York, Bath, Halifax, Gateshead, Edinburgh, Manchester, Southend and London.
The sets will also contain selections from Hackett’s 1979 solo LP ‘Spectral Mornings’, which is turning 40. “I'm thrilled to be performing the whole of my favourite Genesis album, ‘Selling England By The Pound’, which caught the attention of John Lennon in 1973. I felt that I was now playing guitar in the world's best band, and everything was opening up for us.”
Tickets are on sale at 9am on October 5. Hackett, meanwhile, is currently on the road with his Genesis Revisited orchestral show.
