Future Releases New Track Crushed Up

Friday, 04 January 2019 Written by Helen Payne

After teasing fans by deleting all posts and starting a countdown clock on his Instagram account, Future has dropped a new single.

Crushed Up is the first new offering from the hip hop artist since his surprise release with Juice WRLD, ’WRLD On Drugs’, in October, excluding the French Montana collaboration NASA, which arrived on New Year’s Eve but has since disappeared.

The new single is an addictively catchy trap track with immaculate production from Wheezy, who also worked on ’WRLD On Drugs’. The video, meanwhile, is set in an icy mansion with a team of angelic dancers alongside Future.

Recently the Atlanta rapper dropped out of the co-headline NICKIHNDRXX tour with Nicki Minaj due to scheduling conflicts. She’ll now tour the UK and Europe with Juice WRLD instead.

UPDATE January 4: Future has announced via social media that he will drop a new album on January 18, though a title has not yet been confirmed.
