Fleur East Returns With New Single Favourite Thing

Friday, 04 January 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Fleur East is back with a new single.

Favourite Thing, released via her new label Hunter Corp Records, was written by East with Phil Plested and Dayo Olatunji. The catchy Red Triangle-produced track is a fusion of dance beats and tribal drums, which honours her African heritage. She said:

"The song has influences from my mother's side of my family in Ghana. My mum has always made sure I know a lot about my heritage. It's really anthemic and upbeat. I'm so grateful to be starting 2019 in the position I'm in. I really feel like people got to see the real me in the jungle. I'm so much stronger as a person now and I'm really happy with my new music."

East first rose to fame as a finalist on the X Factor and recently braved a stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here last month. She released her debut album, 'Love, Sax and Flashbacks', in 2015. It's hoped the new song will lead to the announcement of its follow up.
