Mono will head to London this December to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The Japanese post-rock band will headline the Barbican on December 14 accompanied by the Platinum Anniversary Orchestra, and sees support from Alcest.
In addition, the group will curate two special shows in the days leading up to this performance. On December 13, Boris will headline at the Oval Space with support from Envy, Arabrot and Svalbrd, as part of their wider UK and European tour. A matinée show also takes place at the Village Underground on December 14 that will feature Nordic Giants alongside A.A. Williams, Jo Quail and Floating Spectrum.
The performances are dubbed ‘Beyond The Past’ shows, embracing the majesty and delicacy of their music over the past two decades. Tickets go on sale at 10am on June 28, priced from £15 for the Oval Space show, £6 for the matinée show, and £25 for Mono’s headline show at the Barbican, all excluding booking fees.
Mono released their 10th album ‘Nowhere Now Here’ earlier this year, and are also set to play Whelan's in Dublin on July 15.
