The Wedding Present Unveil Video For B-Side Panama

The Wedding Present have shared a video for Panama, the b-side to their recent Jump In, The Water's Fine single.
Co-written by David Gedge and new guitarist Danielle Wadey, previously the band's bassist, both tracks were recorded at Monnow Valley Studios, Wales with multi-Grammy winning producer Andrew Scheps and engineer Matt Glasbey.
Ferocious guitars and heavy drums collide on the new slice of indie-pop, with lyrics focussing on love and friendship. Discussing the track's accompanying space race video, viewable below, vocalist Gedge said:
"As well as including one of my favourite palindromes, Panama references Earthrise, the iconic photograph of Earth taken by astronaut Bill Anders (during the Apollo 8 mission) on Christmas Eve, 1968. We decided to incorporate samples of the astronauts talking to Mission Control."
Both tracks are available now via Come Play With Me on 7-inch and limited edition 10-inch picture disc, the band's first, featuring artwork by Darren Hayman (Hefner). Take a look below.
The indie luminaries are currently touring the UK and Ireland in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album 'Bizarro'.
