John Cooper Clarke Announces I Wanna Be Yours Spring UK Tour

John Cooper Clark has announced plans to tour the UK in spring 2021.
The punk era spoken word artist will take his I Wanna Be Yours Tour to Leicester, London, Leeds, Liverpool, Southend, Birmingham, Gateshead, Brighton, Southampton and Manchester between May 15 and June 11. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on October 16.
The trek shares its name with Clarke's upcoming autobiography, to be published by Pan Macmillan on October 15. Describing him as a "poet laureate of punk" and a "reluctant national treasure", a press release on the memoir reads:
"Interspersed with stories of his rock and roll and performing career, John also reveals his boggling encyclopaedic knowledge of twentieth-century popular culture, his private passions and guilty pleasures: from Baudelaire, Pam Ayres and Rimbaud to football to Coronation Street, comprising horse racing and gambling, politics and jokes – and much more."
