Rina Sawayama Unveils Title Track Of New Album Album 'Hold The Girl', Announces US Tour

Rina Sawayama has unveiled the title track of her new album, 'Hold The Girl'.
The song is an eclectic composition that incorporates elements of classical, pop, rock, folk, country and dance music with strings intertwining with dynamic beats and melodies as Sawayama delivers her captivating, powerhouse vocals. Its accompanying video will arrive on August 3. She said:
“'Hold the Girl' was the first song I wrote for the record at the end of 2020–I had gone to therapy and had a revelation, so I decided to write this song...that was the start of it. I was crying before going into the studio to write about it."
The follow-up to the Japanese-British artist's 2020 debut 'Sawayama' will arrive on September 16, having been pushed back from September 2 due to production issues.
She will support 'Hold The Girl' with a tour of the same name that will head across the UK and Ireland in October and the US in November. Tickets for the former are on sale now, while tickets for the US go on general sale at 10am local time on July 29.
