The Smashing Pumpkins Announce Rock Opera Album 'ATUM', Share First Single Beguiled

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a new album.
The renowned alt-rock band's 12th studio full-length will take the form of a three-act rock opera titled 'ATUM', and is billed as the sequel to 1995's 'Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness' and 2000's 'Machina/Machine of God'. The news comes with the grooving first single Beguiled, a true-to-form Smashing Pumpkins rocker.
Written and produced by frontman Billy Corgan, 'ATUM' will be released in three acts, each one arriving every 11 weeks. Act 1 will come on November 15, Act 2 will follow on January 31, and Act 3 will conclude the collection on April 21. A special edition box set edition featuring 10 additional bonus tracks will also drop on April 21.
Alongside this, Corgan has also launched a new podcast series called Thirty-Three with William Patrick Corgan. The first two episodes are available to stream here now, and feature the tracks ATUM and Butterfly Suite.
Their last album was 2020's 'Cyr'. In October, they'll kick off the North American Spirits On Fire Tour alongside Jane's Addiction and Poppy.
