Pulp To Reunite For Summer 2023 UK And Ireland Shows And Festival Sets

Friday, 28 October 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

Pulp are back!

Following a few teasers, the Jarvis Cocker-led band have confirmed plans to reunite for summer shows and festival appearances in 2023. Cocker said:

“Three months ago, we asked, 'What exactly do you do for an encore?' Well… an encore happens when the crowd makes enough noise to bring the band back to the stage. So… we are playing in the UK and Ireland in 2023. Therefore… come along & make some noise. See you there.”

They'll kick off the trek on May 26 at Bridlington Spa, following which they've got headline dates lined up Dublin's St Anne's Park, London's Finsbury Park, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Cardiff International Arena, and two hometown shows at Sheffield's Utilita Arena.

The run will also include festival appearances in Warrington for the Neighbourhood Weekender, TRNSMT in Glasgow and Suffolk's Latitude Festival, where they'll conclude the run on July 21.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am local time on November 4.

The Sheffield group formed back in 1978, and came up during the Britpop explosion, with press labelling them one of the “big four” of the genre alongside Oasis, Blur and Suede. They've released seven albums to date, the last being 2001’s ‘We Love Life’.

Since then, members of the band have been exploring separate ventures, with Cocker releasing his debut album with JARV IS…, as well as collaborating with the likes of Chilly Gonzales and Wes Anderson.
