Pulp have digitally released a three-track EP that was previously only available as a 12″ vinyl exclusive via Rough Trade shops.
Featuring a synth-pop cover of Johnny Cash's The Man Comes Around and two original songs — Marrying For Love and Cold Call On The Hotline — as b-sides, the EP was first released late last year and is now available online.
The Man Comes Around was made for a television series about the phone hacking scandal that led to the closure of The News of the World newspaper in 2011, while the mellow Marrying For Love and introspective Cold Call On The Hotline were written by drummer Nick Banks and keyboardist Candida Doyle, respectively, and come from the sessions for the Sheffield Britpop giants' first album in 24 years, 2025's 'More'.
More recently, Pulp contributed Begging For Change to the star-studded War Child charity album, 'HELP(2)', which dropped earlier this month via War Child Records.
Last month, they completed their first tour of Australia and New Zealand in 15 years and will play a huge show at Manchester's Wythenshawe Park on August 28, with special guest Self Esteem.
They also have dates scheduled in Latin America and mainland Europe for the summer, including festival appearances at Mad Cool in Madrid, All Together Now in Ireland and End Of The Road in the UK. Tickets are on sale now.
