Willie Nelson To Reinterpret Classic Tracks For New Album 'Bluegrass'

Willie Nelson has announced details of his 151st studio album.
'Bluegrass' will arrive on September 15 via Legacy Recordings, and marks the 90-year-old country icon's second full-length release of 2023, following March's 'I Don't Know A Thing About Love'.
As the title suggests, it'll comprise 12 bluegrass reinterpretations of Nelson classics, performed by the man himself and a band of musicians playing instruments such as upright bass, banjo, harmonica and fiddle.
Head below for a preview in the form of You Left Me A Long, Long Time Ago, a slowed, dusty acoustic reworking of the piano and pedal steel original, from Nelson's 1972 LP 'The Willie Way'.
Other tracks on the record include Good Hearted Woman, On The Road Again, Still Is Still Moving To Me and Home Motel.
Nelson will embark on his touring Outlaw Music Festival tomorrow (June 23), with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, John Fogerty, Gov't Mule and Trampled by Turtles among those joining headliners Nelson and family on select dates.
