Charli XCX Contributes New Single Speed Drive To 'Barbie The Album'

Charli XCX has released a new single.
The Easyfun-produced Speed Drive clocks in at just under two minutes and finds the English singer delivering lyrics about her love of Barbie atop rave-ready beats, while the chorus takes lyrics and melody from Toni Basil's Mickey.
The song, Charli XCX's first new material of the year, was written for 'Barbie The Album', the soundtrack for the upcoming Warner Bros film Barbie The Movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, which is out in cinemas on July 21.
Previously shared singles from the record include Dua Lipa's Dance The Night, PinkPantheress' Angel, Karol G's Watati featuring Aldo Ranks and Barbie World (with Aqua) by Nicki Minaj And Ice Spice. Also set to appear on the soundtrack are Khalid, Lizzo, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala, The Kid Laroi, Ava Max, Dominic Fike, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, and Kali.
