Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry Announces Shows In UK, Europe And North America For First Solo Tour

Chvrches vocalist Lauren Mayberry has announced her first solo tour
The Glasgow artist has lined up UK shows in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London between October 5 and 9, as well as dates across Europe and North America. In a note to fans, she revealed that new music is on the way:
"For a long time, I couldn’t imagine ever doing anything outside of Chvrches. But as I sail / stumble through this era of my life, it has started to feel like there are things I want to write and say and do that need to be done on my own. This solo project, I hope, will be my fun, freaky, sad, weird, joyful pop playground and I am so looking forward to sharing it with you."
The singer also confirmed that she's not quitting her band, adding: "We are all confident that the Chvrches story has many more pages yet to be written."
Tickets for her North American concerts go on general sale at 10am local time today (July 21), with the UK and European gigs on sale at 10am local time on Monday (July 24).
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Chvrches' debut full-length, 'The Bones Of What You Believe'. They released their most recent album, 'Screen Violence', in 2021.
UPDATE 27/07: Most of Mayberry's UK shows have been upgraded due to demand. Tickets for the original venues will remain valid for the new. See them in bold below.
