Animal Collective have released a new single, Gem & I.
Having tested it with live audiences since 2019, the band have shared the tune as the fourth and final preview of their new album, 'Is It Now?', due out on September 29 via Domino.
Propelled by tropical rhythms, anchored by punchy percussion and layered swelling synths, the mellow track will be joined on the record by the previously unveiled cuts Soul Capturer, Defeat and King’s Walk.
The four-piece have also announced listening parties for the record, held in various cities in the United States, the UK, Germany and France between September 24 and 29. Head here for further details and locations.
