Pulp will headline Edinburgh's 2023 Hogmanay celebrations.
The Britpop legends, led by frontman Jarvis Cocker, will round off their successful reunion tour at the Concert In The Gardens in West Princes Street Garden for the event's 30th anniversary. Special guests are yet to be announced. Tickets on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 29). Cocker said:
"When your grandkids ask, ‘Do you remember the first time Pulp played Edinburgh’s Hogmanay?’ What will your answer be? Come along and start 2024 in the very best way possible. Oh yes."
Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the show will mark the Sheffield band's first in the Scottish capital for more than 20 years, with the performance set to be broadcast on big screens along Princes Street, where 40,000 revellers are expected to party their way into 2024.
Previous headliners of the Hogmanay party have included Pet Shop Boys, Mark Ronson and Franz Ferdinand.
