The Vaccines have shared a new single called Sometimes, I Swear.
Offering the familiar rousing, anthemic sound of the London band's previous indie-rock belters, it serves as the opening track of their new album, 'Pick-Up Full Of Pink Carnations', due out on January 12. Frontman Justin Young said:
"I don’t think there are many places on the planet where I feel so at peace as sitting in my own home, but even there I constantly question my place in the world, I think the innate human need to be part of something – to connect with each other in a community or a congregation – is what keeps us driving forward and searching for meaning.
"It’s something many of us struggle with on a daily basis, but I hope when people hear this song they’ll feel less alone in that struggle."
The follow-up to 2021's 'Back In Love City' will also feature the previously unveiled cut Heartbreak Kid.
They'll support the new record with a UK and European tour of the same name in January and February, following a run of in-store gigs the week of its release. Tickets are on sale now.
The group will also join The Kooks on their 2024 North American tour, which will see the latter performing their debut album, 'Inside In / Inside Out', in full at each stop in celebration of its 15th anniversary. Tickets for those dates go on general sale at 10am local time tomorrow (October 13).
