The Scottish duo, Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton, will release 'I'm Totally Fine With It 👍 Don’t Give A Fuck Anymore 👍' on May 10, following up 2021's 'As Days Get Dark'. It marks the pair's second full-length release on Mogwai's Rock Action Records, while the title comes from a text message the pair received from their touring drummer that Moffat thought was funny and appropriate.
Head below to check out the first single, Bliss, a dark, pulsating electro-disco fusion with lush strings over programmed beats. Introducing it, Moffat said:
"It’s about women being terrorized online; it’s about cowardice and bigotry. It’s about how we expose ourselves on social platforms while hiding alone at home. But you can dance to it too!"
Arab Strap will support the new record with a UK tour this spring. They've also announced a standalone Scottish show at Glasgow's iconic Barrowland Ballroom for September 21. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (January 26).
