High On Fire have announced their new album.

The follow-up to 2018's 'Electric Messiah' is titled 'Cometh The Storm' and will arrive on April 19 via MNRK Heavy. It was co-produced by Converge's Kurt Ballou, and was recorded at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts. The LP marks the band's ninth overall. It's also their first in six years, and first with new drummer Coady Willis.

As a preview, the stoner metal stalwarts have shared the record's lead single, Burning Down, which is driven by a dense, sludgy Matt Pike guitar riff and comes with an unsettling video featuring visuals from Lars Kristoffer Hormander. Bassist Jeff Matz said:

"I think this song harkens back to the early High on Fire sound, but infused with fresh, new elements. It has a killer groove that you can really sink into. The body of the song took shape in our PNW rehearsal space, and we came up with the bridge/solo section and finalized the arrangement while we were at GodCity. Kurt Ballou’s input as a producer was also hugely helpful. His keen ears and fresh perspective were invaluable in making this album."

High On Fire will return to the UK this summer as part of a series of European dates that include an appearance at France's HellFest.
