Finneas Announces Second Solo Studio Album 'For Cryin' Out Loud!'

Thursday, 08 August 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

Finneas has announced his second album.

The singer, songwriter, producer and 10-time Grammy Award-winner will release 'For Crying' Out Loud!' on October 4 via Polydor/Interscope.

The record was created through a number of live studio sessions in Los Angeles and completely self-produced by Finneas, though it saw him moving away from his DIY, bedroom producer methods and more open to the studio and band environment.

To coincide with the announcement, the 27-year-old has shared the record's title track, a jazz influenced pop song that offers prominent vocals coupled with a rich, stirring brass arrangement. Head below to view the accompanying video, written and directed by Isaac Ravishankara.

Finneas, aka Billie Eilish's older brother and go-to producer, released his debut solo album, 'Optimist', in 2021. He's also credited as producer and co-writer on his sister's third LP, 2024's 'Hit Me Hard And Soft'.

Earlier in the year, he scooped an Academy Award and Grammy Awards for Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media for producing and co-writing Eilish's track What Was I Made For? from the Barbie: The Movie soundtrack.

'For Cryin' Out Loud!' tracklist:

1. Starfucker
2. What’s It Gonna Take to Break Your Heart?
3. Cleats
4. Little Window
5. 2001
6. Same Old Story
