Bon Iver has released two new singles.
If Only I Could Wait is a duet between Justin Vernon and Danielle Haim that utilises synths among the artists' intertwining vocals, while Walk Home is a more intimate affair. The songs offer a further preview of Bon Iver's new album, 'SABLE, fABLE', which is due out on April 11 via Jagjaguwar. Vernon said:
"For the second look into fABLE, it couldn’t be a single; it had to be a double. First, Walk Home is a romp where you can’t wait to pull your clothes off fast enough and jump inside bed with your one true lover. And then – the two of singles – If Only I Could Wait. A duet. A bilateral crying question. How long can the two of us hang on to each other?"
The follow-up to 2019's 'i,i' will open with the three songs from Bon Iver's 2024 'SABLE' EP: Things Behind Things Behind Things, S P E Y S I D E and Awards Season. It also includes last month's single, Everything Is Peaceful Love, and contributions from Dijon and Flock of Dimes on the track Day One.
