Kneecap have moved their summer show in Plymouth.
Following the recent cancellation of their Eden Sessions show, the Belfast trio were due to take over Plymouth Pavilions on July 4, but that show has now been relocated to THÊ DEPØ venue, and two more gigs have been added on July 2 and 3. Tickets for all three dates are on sale now.
They were also due to play German shows in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg on September 1, 2 and 3, respectively, but those gigs have also been pulled.
It's a tumultuous time for the group, who are currently under scrutiny and facing media backlash due to political remarks made during their past concerts, most recently during their appearance at Coachella festival, to which they have responded with statements via social media.
Heavenly Recordings, the label that put out both their albums 'Fine Art' and '3cag', have written an open letter supporting the band and their freedom of expression. A number of acts have publicly come out in support of the letter, including Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack, Annie Mac, Idles, Paul Weller, Primal Sream, Pulp, Garbage's Shirley Manson, Sleaford Mods and Thin Lizzy.
Kneecap will headline Wide Awake Festival, 2000trees and Green Man this summer, as well as playing Dublin's Fairview Park on June 19, Amsterdam in September, North American shows throughout October, and two dates at Dublin's 3Arena in December. They will also support Fontaines D.C. at their Belfast Vital show on August 29. Tickets are on sale now.
