Little Simz has shared another song from her upcoming sixth album.
Young offers a playful, punk-infused energy that contrasts with the introspective sound of her previous singles from 'Lotus', Free and Flood. Head below to view its video, which finds the Mercury Prize, BRIT and MOBO Award-winning London rapper reuniting with director Dave Meyers, who previously helmed the video for her 2022 track Gorilla.
"I was able to tap into a character. That was fun for me. It’s just a moment of light heartedness," Simz said of the clip.
The follow-up to 2022's 'No Thank You' will arrive on June 6 and includes contributions from Moses Sumney, Miraa May, Wretch 32, Cashh, Michael Kiwanuka, Yussef Dayes, Sampha, Lydia Kitto, Yukimi Nagano, Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly..
Simz will curate and perform at the 30th edition of Meltdown Festival at London's Southbank Centre next month. Other acts set to perform include The Streets, Lola Young, Ghetts, Jon Batiste, Little Dragon's Yukimi, Mahalia and James Blake.
She'll also play Manchester’s Co-Op Live on October 16 and London’s O2 Arena on October 17. Tickets are on sale now.
