Noah Cyrus has announced her sophomore studio album.
The Grammy-nominated Nashville-born musician, singer and songwriter will release 'I Want My Loved Ones To Go With Me' on July 11, following up 2022's 'The Hardest Part'.
Co-produced by Cyrus, Mike Crossey and PJ Harding, the 11-song project features contributions fromElla Langley, Blake Shelton, Bill Callahan, and Fleet Foxes, who featured on the previously unveiled track Don’t Put It All On Me. Cyrus said:
"For a long time, I couldn't really trust in my own choices. I had to learn how to make decisions for myself and make that transition into adulthood. But I've found who I am, I know who I am, and this record shows what I had inside me all this time. This album is me.
"I want this album to offer fans a sense of comforting, peaceful nostalgia. That’s something that I feel so heavily when I listen to music. We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment. Music does that for me, and this collection of songs was made with that in mind. I want to evoke that feeling of a comforting friend that a song can be — and allow us all to heal."
There's also a song called With You, which was written by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. "My dad is one of my biggest influences," she explained. "He turned me on to so many great songs and artists. My musical inspirations came from somewhere, and more often than not, it’s been him."
Cyrus will support the album with a North American tour in September and October, following a one-off Los Angeles show on July 11 . Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (June 20).
